ABOUT VIV YAU (she/her)

Viv Yau (she/her) is a distinguished British Chinese Mancunian activist, podcaster, and the founder of Bee Influence, an award winning influencer marketing agency.

Fuelled by a desire to promote diversity in the industry, Viv established Bee Influence, and has since partnered with global brands such as Disney, Hamilton The Musical, Lee Kum Kee, Greenpeace, Vista, Emma Sleep, and more. She has spoken on prestigious platforms like Campaign Live, Influencer Marketing Show, and Blogosphere, and even guest lectured at Manchester University and Lancaster University.

Viv's vast experience as a creator and running mass influencer marketing campaigns provides her with a unique perspective to create powerful brand content.

In her self-produced podcast, 'But where are you from?' Viv delves into issues surrounding ESEA identity, belonging, and culture. The podcast has garnered over 45,000 listeners worldwide and is now in its fifth season.

Apart from being a marketer, Viv also made headlines in July 2020 when she launched a petition urging the media to refrain from depicting East and South East Asians (ESEA) in COVID related media. Her efforts led to the first-ever parliamentary debate on ESEA racism, and she has since co-founded besea.n (Britain’s East and South East Asian Network) with other members, a non-profit organisation that collaborates with entities like the government’s DCMS, Google, PayPal, Direct Line Group, among others.
