VISTA X MY RUNWAY GROUP CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP

Vista helps small business owners across the world design and market their business through their various branches including VistaPrint, 99designs & VistaCreate. My Runway Group (MRG) is a small business comprised of business, social and creative ventures, helping emerging creatives and Black businesses lacking access to funding, grants, marketing and mentorship.

We crafted 1 event, a 3-episode docuseries & total website rebrand.

THE CHALLENGE

Creating a meaningful and impactful partnership with a small business who proactively look for ways to build up their local community.

THE OBJECTIVE

Create awareness for Vista as an SBO's go-to design and marketing partner through multiple activations crafted based on My Runway Groups needs and goals.

THE CAMPAIGN

We established a relationship between Vista and MRG's network of small businesses, facilitating a networking dinner and the creation and development of episodes for their RUN social media series. The relationship looked to demonstrate how Vista's services can benefit a community of small businesses.

THE ACTIVATIONS

Activation 1: The Colour Circle - My Runway Group (MRG) and Vista created an intimate dinner wherein 20 Black in Carnaby businesses were invited to attend, each with the opportunity to network and share their journey. The dinner was hosted by Kojo, creative director of MRG, alongside Alexander Amosu, entrepreneur and guest speaker for the evening.

Activation 2: The RUN Series - My Runway Group wanted to create a visual series highlighting emerging creatives and Black business owners from under-represented communities. Through the combination of storytelling and the Vista collaboration, MRG set out to raise their commercial visibility and inspire the next generation of creatives and business owners.

Activation 3: Black In Carnaby Website & Logo Rebrand - With over 700 Black businesses on their waiting list, and keen to open and run a permanent store, My Runway Group were looking to relaunch and streamline their Black In Carnaby website. With the help of Vista and the 99designs, the redesign enables them to cater to all the businesses looking for high street representation.

THE RESULTS

The focus of this campaign was less around data and numbers and more on building the foundations of a genuine and purposeful relationship between Vista and an SBO that had influence within their community.

We were successful in creating and executing the Colour Circle Dinner, where over 20 SBOs were in attendance - from this, we saw an incredible 150 pieces of organic content!

In total, across the full collaboration, we saw an excellent 194 pieces of content created - both agreed and organic, from MRG and other SBOs and supporters. Many of these creators had smaller followings but the interest amongst small businesses in working with Vista after the campaign, along with the positive sentiment, was extensive!
