ABOUT JOYCELYN LONGDON AKA CLIMATE IN COLOUR (she/her)

Joycelyn is an accomplished environmental justice activist and academic, with a focus on designing justice-led conservation technologies for monitoring biodiversity with local forest communities in Ghana. As the founder of ClimateInColour, an online education platform and community for the climate curious, she has established a powerful launchpad for critical conversations about climate change. Her platform not only provides a space of hope, but also encourages more accessible and diverse climate conversations to transform how people learn about, communicate and act on climate issues.

Since the platform’s inception in 2020, Joycelyn has collaborated with a range of prominent organisations including Meta, Samsung, The Design Museum, and Greenpeace. Joycelyn has been invited to speak on a variety of topics related to climate justice, climate colonialism, activism, creativity and systems change at prestigious events such as The United Nations Geneva Dialogues, Channel 4, Cheltenham Science Festival, Oxford University, The National Lottery, The Design Council and The Wellcome Collection.

Joycelyn's extensive experience in the field has also earned her several accolades, including the climate columnist position at the award-winning media company, gal-dem, a regular climate contributor on the Sky News daily climate show, and 2022's winner of the Emerging Designer London Design Medal. Her exceptional work in the field is an inspiration to many, and she continues to make a significant contribution towards raising awareness and driving positive action towards a sustainable future. ​
